Central defender Amartey was given the captaincy as his nation took on Angola in an Africa Cup of Nations qualification group stage match. Unfortunately for the Foxes' No.18, he was penalised for fouling Gelson Dala early in the second half, allowing the chance for Lucas Joāo to convert from the spot.

After going behind, the Ghanian spurred his side on to draw level 20 minutes from time, when Osman Bukari levelled things back up to ensure a point for the Black Stars, who remain top of Group E with eight points from four games.

Nigeria were also involved in an AFCON group stage qualification match, and Ndidi was introduced in the 81st minute as a late substitute, while Kelechi Iheanacho failed to make an appearance. A single goal from Moses Simon of Nantes guided the Super Eagles to a 1-0 win, to place them top of Group A with nine points.

Monday's earliest international kick-off involving a Fox was between USA Under-19s and Racing Club de Avellaneda. Leicester City Development Squad midfielder Zach Booth was the player in question and started in the 2-0 win, as Miguel Perez and Kristian Fletcher ensured success with two first-half goals, to earn a second victory on camp.

Tuesday offers a final opportunity for City's stars to prove their worth on the international stage as numerous Leicester players have the chance to take to the pitch, before returning to the Club ahead of their Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off).

Among those players are Wales 'keeper Danny Ward, and Belgium trio Timothy Castagne, Wout Faes and Dennis Praet who will hope to feature for the Red Devils in Tuesday evening's friendly match against Germany (7:45pm kick-off).
