Chelsea Defeat For Leicester's Under-18s

Leicester City's Under-18s fell to a 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea on Saturday morning.

Tudor Mendel-Idowu (2) and Donnell McNeilly were the Chelsea duo on hand with the goals at LCFC Training Ground at the weekend, as the young Foxes returned home for the first time in four games.

Looking to build on the win at Arsenal at the end of March, there was just one change to that side, with Mirsad Ali being replaced by Liam McAlinney.

But the visiting Blues seized the initiative seven minutes before the break when Louis Flower set up Mendel-Idowu to open the scoring. The attacker then doubled his and Chelsea's tally on 72 minutes.

Two minutes later, the points were wrapped up courtesy of McNeilly's strike, assisted by Harrison McMahon.

Leicester sit seventh in U18 Premier League South after 18 matches, with 22 points on the board and are next in action on Tuesday - hosting Arsenal Under-18s in Seagrave (3:30pm BST kick-off).

The details...

City: Addai; Grist (C), Gray, McAlinney; Cook (Thomas 70'), Nyoni (Neale 80'), Lewis, Joseph; Fisken (King 45'), Briggs (Ononaye 84'); Richards.
