Briggs and Richards gave City's Under-18s a two-goal advantage at the interval, but second half goals from Seb Ferdinand and Michal Rosiak levelled things out, as the two sides played out a draw at LCFC Training Ground.

Despite falling to a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea last time out in U18 Premier League South, the young Foxes have enjoyed an impressive run of form which has included four wins in their seven outings, before this result.

Among those was a 2-1 win over the Gunners only three weeks ago, when a Richards brace completed a comeback to snatch the points at Arsenal Training Centre late on, before both teams saw a player dismissed.

With little time to let the fumes dissipate, the two sides met once more, and one prevalent factor was Richards' goalscoring reputation, who netted his 11th of the season in Tuesday's display.

However, it was Briggs who opened the scoring in Seagrave with an eighth-minute goal. Keen to make the most of their early advantage, Richards doubled the scoring just after the half-an-hour mark, against the club who he joined Leicester from in January 2022.

The strength of the away side did come out, however, as they equalised five minutes from the restart through Ferdinand, and scored an equaliser just four minutes later through Rosiak.

A point against the London club, with a fine reputation of producing talented individuals, is a valuable one, and coach Adam Barradell will be hoping this momentum continues for Leicester, who are currently seventh and 10 points ahead of bottom-placed Norwich City, as they next face the league leaders West Ham United on Saturday afternoon (12pm BST kick-off).
