Villa Defeat For City's Under-18s

Leicester City's Under-18s were beaten 4-2 by Aston Villa at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground on Tuesday afternoon after a Rory Wilson hat-trick for the hosts.

Eighth in the table, with seven wins so far this season, City's youngsters haven't tasted victory since their 2-1 win over Arsenal in late March, and fell to a narrow defeat to Villa.

Most recently the Foxes were beaten 3-1 last weekend by a West Ham United side who have already been crowned champions due to their 16 point lead at the top of the Premier League U18 South table.

There were three changes to the side beaten by the Hammers with Kevon Gray, Logan Briggs and Amani Richards all being replaced. The latter two due to their involvement with the Leicester City Development Squad during Monday's defeat to Everton in Premier League 2 action.

Against a side with four wins from the last five, City were under pressure from the first whistle and found themselves two goals down after a matter of minutes, as Scottish striker Wilson netted himself a quick-fire brace.

Charlie Lutz then added to the scoring to give the hosts a three-goal lead with just 15 minutes on the clock. In the second half, Leicester did fight back and reduced the deficit to just the one goal after Josh King and Reece Evans got themselves on the scoresheet.

King netted first in the 51st minute before Evans scored his sixth goal of the season 20 minutes later. However, as close as they would come to clawing their way back, it was the Villans who would take the points after Wilson rounded off the scoring seconds from time, and completed his hattrick in Warwickshire.

The young Foxes have one last game this season when they travel to the capital to face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday morning (11:30am BST kick-off) at Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre in Enfield.
