Wrapping Up Latest Women's International Action

The Netherlands qualified automatically on Tuesday evening for UEFA Women's EURO 2025 while Scotland, Belgium and Finland's fate will be decided in the play-offs.

- Lize Kop's Netherlands go through to the UEFA Women's Euros 2025 in Switzerland in second place of League A Group 1
- Sophie Howard's Scotland have qualified for the play-offs
- Jutta Rantala's Finland and Janice Cayman's Belgium head into the play-offs
- Friendly action for CJ Bott and Courtney Nevin before Paris 2024 Summer Olympics

Tuesday night brought an end to proceedings on the international stage for some of our LCFC Women players, as the final group stage fixtures were played out, confirming the first teams to be included in next year's Euros in Switzerland.

One of those teams hoping to make the trip across Europe will be Sophie Howard's Scotland, who topped League B Group 2 with an incredible 16 points - winning five of their six games played, including a recent 1-0 win over Serbia which saw the Leicester defender play 90 minutes in Glasgow.

City's No.5 also featured in the penultimate match-up against Slovakia, in which the visitors ran out 2-0 winners at štadión pod Zoborom thanks to a brace from Angel City's Claire Emslie. Scotland will now compete in play-offs to be there in Switzerland.

Heading to next year's Euros in Switzerland.

One Fox to head through automatically was Lize Kop, who got back-to-back 90 minutes in consecutive draws to Finland and Norway, which sees the Dutch cement a second-place spot in League A Group 1 with nine points.

The first of the two games for Kop saw her go head-to-head with Leicester's top goalscorer from last season Jutta Rantala, although it was the former Liverpool defender Emma Koivisto, who snatched a 98th minute equaliser.

Tuesday evening saw Finland on the receiving end of a 4-0 scoreline to Italy, where Rantala's 90 minutes on the field couldn't help prevent her side from finishing bottom of League A Group 1 with five points where she will have to go again in the play-offs to fight for a spot in next year's competition.

The same fate will follow for Janice Cayman's Belgium, who finished third in League A Group 2 with just four points, after they concluded their fixtures with losses to Denmark and Spain.

The play-offs await for Jutta Rantala's Finland.

One positive from the break, was Cayman's inclusion into an elite group as the Denmark game was the defender's 150th for the Red Flames; an accomplishment which was well-recognised and celebrated by her nation.

City's final two players to feature over the last few days were CJ Bott and Courtney Nevin as both New Zealand and Australia took part in friendly action to prepare for the Summer Olympics in Paris later this month.

Bott played a full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Zambia at Stade Louis Darragon while Nevin was a second half substitute, replacing Real Madrid's Hayley Raso in a 2-1 reverse to Canada at Marbella Football Center.
