Fatawu 'Looking Forward' To Season Opener

The Foxes were beaten by RC Lens of Ligue 1 in their final pre-season fixture of 2024/25 on Saturday, with it ending 3-0 to the hosts in the baking sun at Stade Félix Bollaert-Delélis.

While learnings will be taken from the weekend’s friendly encounter, Fatawu was keen to look ahead to the competitive action to follow, also expressing his excitement for the new campaign back in the Premier League.
“It’s just all about the team,” the winger outlined. “As we look forward to the season, it was a good test for us today to keep learning and I think we’ll look into the game and get the right things done.
“We’ll keep on going. As we always keep working and learning how to go into the season, the whole team is ready for the season.”

The trip to France offered time on the pitch for the majority of the squad, with the Ghanian playing 67 minutes on the right wing, having been named in the starting XI. He says all eyes are firmly fixed on facing Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium a week on Monday.
“I feel good,” the 20-year-old added. “As with the team, we all feel so good to start the season and we’ll keep on working until the season starts. I’m looking forward to this season and I can’t wait to get it started.”
