Amartey: Be Compact

- Daniel Amartey wants Leicester City to put in a solid performance against AFC Bournemouth on Sunday 

- The Foxes round off their 2016/17 Premier League campaign at King Power Stadium 

- Amartey says his side can learn from Thursday’s loss to Tottenham 

Daniel Amartey believes Leicester City must be more compact when they at King Power Stadium on Sunday (3pm kick-off). 

The Foxes contest their final game of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign knowing a victory would secure at least a top-10 finish. 

Amartey says his team-mates will be well prepared to take on an in-form Cherries side and is looking forward to rounding off the season on Filbert Way. 

“We have to get our mentality right to get a win for the last game,” Amartey told LCFC TV. “We’ll do our homework and focus on that game. 

“Everybody has good spirit so I think if we’re playing at King Power Stadium, the fans support us a lot. Bournemouth are good too – they’re good at defending and create chances. 

“They’ve won three games recently but they’re coming to King Power Stadium so we have to focus, be compact and take our chances. 

“Everybody wants to win the last game to make the fans happy. It’s good if we win, then we’ll see the table.” 

Amartey wants City to move on swiftly from Thursday’s loss, but knows there is potential for his side to learn a great deal from coming up against a talented outfit. 

He added: “It was very hard to take the defeat because 6-1 is not good, but that’s football. It’s hard to say anything about that game yesterday. 

“We have to forget everything from Thursday night because that is football. This morning (Friday), we’ll leave everything and focus on the last game. 

“I think the players will learn a lot from the game. We came to win or get a point for the Club, but we will be happy to get a win in the next game against Bournemouth for the fans.”
