Three Massive Points For Benalouane
- Yohan Benalouane is concentrating on the final two months of the season following what he called a ‘massive’ three points against West Ham United
- The central defender made his first Premier League start for the Club against the Hammers
- Riyad Mahrez, Robert Huth and Jamie Vardy were on target in the 3-2 win at the London Stadium
says Leicester City earned on Saturday, but must carry their fine form into the final two months of the season.
Benalouane made his first Premier League start for the Club against the Hammers, replacing the injured Wes Morgan, and impressed at the heart of the defence.
“I was very happy and we made a good game,” Benalouane told after the game. “We got three massive points in the Premier League and I hope we can continue in this way.
“I was good in the cup and today was a possibility to play so I showed something and I hope to come back again to play.
“We need to keep going with all the team and I hope we can make something more in the next game.
“We have two months and we have to keep going. We have to train a lot to make something important for the end of season.”
Benalouane felt his side defended well in the capital on Saturday, particularly against physical striker Andy Carroll.
“He’s a really good player,” added the City centre back. “He’s big and tall but with Rob [Huth] we made a good job today and we fought very well.
“but the most important thing is to have three points today. The result is the most important because we continued in the Premier League after winning in the Champions League so the atmosphere was good.”
