An optimistic Marc Albrighton says his Leicester City team-mates have returned from the international break eager to continue their red hot run of results.

A two-week pause in proceedings has allowed the Club’s stars to recharge ahead of an April fixture schedule that will see the Foxes contest a total of eight games.

First up is at King Power Stadium on Saturday and Albrighton knows a victory could go a long way in their quest for Premier League survival.

Speaking to LCFC TV ahead of the game, Albrighton said: “The lads were ready for a break and we know we’ve got a lot of games this coming month that are going to be massively important to how our season shapes up.

“I think the break going into that is fantastic and it’ll allow all the lads to be ready. It’s going to shape our season and the sooner we can secure our safety the better. It’s our main focus – especially this coming week.

“We’ve got two home games and it could go a long way in making sure we’re safe, but also it could go the other way if we don’t get the results we want. We need to be on our game and we need to make sure we do get the results.”

With a mammoth run of fixtures coming up, Albrighton says every member of the squad must be ready to play as City aim to stretch their unbeaten run to five games in all competitions.

“The team might change every now and again with so many games,” added the winger. “There might be lads coming in that haven’t played and we all need to be prepared for that – every single member of the squad. It’s a massive month for us but it’s one we’re looking forward to.

“We’ve just got to be ready. With the break we’ve had, we’ve got no excuses. We’re fresh and going into them we have to be prepared. It’s going to be tough.”
