Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has been named in the England squad for a double header of international fixtures away to Scotland and France next month.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has been named in the England squad for a double header of international fixtures away to Scotland and France next month.
Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions lock horns with Scotland at Glasgow’s Hampden Park in a 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier on Saturday 10 June (KO 5pm) before heading to Paris for a friendly match against France on Tuesday 13 June (KO 8pm).
The 30-year-old Foxes frontman ended the season in fine form on the domestic front and will be looking to add more goals to his international tally, which stands at six after he found the net in his last international outing in March.
That was a 2-0 win over Lithuania at Wembley to help keep England on track in their bid for qualification to next summer’s World Cup Finals in Russia. They currently sit top of Group F by four points from Slovakia, while Scotland are currently another two points behind in fourth.
Vardy found the net for the Foxes during their 1-1 draw with AFC Bournemouth on the final weekend of the Premier League season, which took his club tally to 15 for the campaign across all competitions – including a famous away UEFA Champions League goal in Seville.
