Tierney, the most-capped women's player in the history of the Club, is aiming for new heights this season with Leicester, and believes a point on their travels to Liverpool was a good way to start.
Looking ahead to another tough test against Arsenal this weekend at King Power Stadium, the No.3, who featured in every single WSL game last season, is confident that the Foxes can be worthy of a win, should they stay focused and put in a good performance.
"I think the Liverpool game was positive," Tierney opened with. "It was a well-fought point and, in the long run, it should stand us in good stead. We've got Arsenal this weekend so we're focused on that and we look ahead now instead of behind.
"I'd say that this squad has what it takes to win any game. It's 90 minutes of football and its one team against another. We know how tough it'll be and they have some fantastic players but we can take learnings from games we've had in the past against them.
"We'll try to be a team that's difficult to beat and make sure that we go out there and put on good performance for our fans."
Having been through thick and thin with the Club, Tierney is hoping to have the same impact on the pitch, and do whatever it takes to push the team forward, stating that she feels at home in the East Midlands.
Sam Tierney
Sam Tierney was named in Amandine Miquel's first WSL line-up.
Tierney continued: "It's a Club that I've progressed at and I've enjoyed my time here, made some great memories, and we've got a great group of players at the moment. It's somewhere where I feel at home and want to keep giving my all.
"I've been through various different seasons while I've been here, and we've had to work hard and sometimes things haven't gone our way but the biggest thing for us is having focus.
"We've got objectives for blocks of games and we take each game as it comes. Hopefully if we keep working on the training pitch as we are then the results will come."
