Schmeichel Returns To Action

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel continued his recovery from a foot injury after playing his first competitive game since December on Monday evening.

The Danish international shot-stopper notched up a valuable 90 minutes and made a number of key saves in the Development Squad’s over Sunderland at King Power Stadium.
Schmeichel last featured for the Foxes in their 2-1 Barclays Premier League loss to Aston Villa on Sunday 7 December after breaking his metatarsal in training.
The former Leeds United ‘keeper was an unused substitute in last weekend’s goalless league draw with Hull City and is available for selection for the Premier League trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 21 March if called upon.
