As Leicester City continue preparations for their Barclays Premier League fixture at Bournemouth, manager Claudio Ranieri provided an update on the fitness of his squad.

The Foxes have won three out of their last four games in all competitions and will look to continue their unbeaten start to the 2015/16 campaign when they head to Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

It will be the first time these two sides have locked horns in England’s top flight, while the last meeting came during City’s 2013/14 title-winning Sky Bet Championship season.

The City boss confirmed on Thursday that he has no new injury worries following a productive week that saw them advance to the third round of the Capital One Cup. Only Matty James is set to miss the clash due to his knee problem.

Heavily involved in the 4-1 second round victory over Bury at Gigg Lane on Tuesday evening was forward Joe Dodoo, who made an unforgettable first senior appearance for the Club after netting a hat-trick.

Confirming Dodoo will travel with the squad to Bournemouth, Ranieri said: “It was fantastic for him. It was a fantastic night. He’ll remember it for all his life. He comes with me [to Bournemouth]. It’s important he stays with us and understands something.”

Ranieri also went on to explain how Dodoo’s story reflects fondly on the positive work carried out in the Club’s Academy between staff and players.

Ranieri added: “For us it’s important to build but also to look at young players that can help us in the future.

“I’m very impressed for the players but also how the young staff work with the young players. It’s the same in the first team or academy, they all work together.”
