After completing his first 90 minutes in the Barclays Premier League for Leicester City, defender Christian Fuchs highlighted the Foxes’ defensive resilience following the win over Norwich City.

Claudio Ranieri brought in Fuchs at left back against the Canaries and the former Schalke man put in an excellent performance, just as he had done in the 2-1 Capital One Cup Third Round victory over West Ham United last month.

Against Alex Neil’s men, City went 1-0 up after England international striker Jamie Vardy won and converted a penalty in the first half, before Jeffrey Schlupp doubled his side’s lead after the break.

The hosts pulled one back through Dieumerci Mbokani with just over 20 minutes to play and went in search of an equaliser in the closing stages, but a resolute defensive performance meant all three points went to the men in blue.

</span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">“I feel good,” Fuchs told Foxes Player HD after the game. “I was happy that we won the game. It was a tough fight though but we fought and I think we deserved to win. </span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">“Usually you try to avoid being under pressure. You don’t want that. After the second goal I thought we were controlling the game but they also wanted to win the game. </span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">“They wanted to come back, especially at home. They created a lot of pressure had a few good chances and scored the goal. It was kind of a tough game at the end and you definitely don’t want that, but still we had chances to score a third goal. </span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">“[The manager said] Just to play like you played against West Ham and do what you can do best. That’s what I tried to do and I think I did well.” </span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">For Fuchs, it is the frightening pace of City’s forward players that continued to cause problems on Saturday and the Austria international captain is delighted that his side possess such a threat. </span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">He added: “We have a lot of speed in the offence. Not only Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki, but also Jeff Schlupp and Marc Albrighton are there. We had a few more chances because we were that good in the offence. I think our tactics worked well and I’m happy we won the game. </span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">“It’s important to come back after a home defeat and it’s not easy to win away in the Premier League, so that win was very good for us. Everybody is very happy. </span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">“It’s (the Premier League) tough. I don’t want to say it’s better or worse than other leagues – it’s different. It’s tough and I think I’ve adjusted well now. I’m happy that I’ve played my first 90 minutes. We won, I’m enjoying it and I’m hoping for more games.”</span></div><div ><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><a href="http://www.lcfc.com/fans/social_networking"><img xlink:href="tcm:0-2692749" title="Social2015_Banner" alt="Social2015_Banner" style="width: 480px; height: 100px;" /></a></span></div>
