Notts Loan For Blyth

City youngster Jacob Blyth has joined npower League 1 side Notts County on a one-month loan.

The 20-year-old striker, who joined the Foxes from non-league Leamington last summer, will remain with the Magpies until 13 March and could make his debut for the Meadow Lane club at Walsall on Saturday, subject to his registration being cleared by the Football League.

The move will be a second chance for Jacob to pick up first team experience this season, having seen an autumn loan move to League 2 side Burton Albion, where he made two substitute appearances, cut short by injury.

Blyth has been a regular for City’s Development Team this season, scoring six times in the Under-21 Professional Development League and helping the Foxes to second place in their group.

Notts County are currently under the caretaker stewardship of Chris Kiwomya and sit 11th in npower League 1 ahead of their trip to the Banks’ Stadium on Saturday.
