The Foxes have seen off Sheffield United and Liverpool thus far while second tier Leeds defeated Port Vale, Newport County and Burnley to set-up a fourth round tie on Filbert Way.

Previewing the encounter with Thomas Christiansen’s men, Gray told LCFC TV: “The competition is a good one. It’s an opportunity for the lads who aren’t playing much to get some game time.

“We’re confident and hopefully we can progress. We know Leeds are a good team and they’re doing well in the Championship.

Gray Eager For Cup Success

Demarai Gray sat down with LCFC TV to discuss the Foxes' Carabao Cup fixture against Leeds on Tuesday evening.

"Beating Burnley proved they are resilient as well because it went to extra-time and penalties.

“We don’t take any game lightly and we approach every game properly. As long as we have the right mentality, I think we can progress.”

Cup competitions always carry the prospect of an upset and Gray admits City are aware of the dangers that come with facing lower league opposition.

He added: “There is always an upset. We don’t want to be the team that happens to. With the depth we have in our squad, I’m sure we can do well on the night.”

If we can get to Wembley, it will be great for the team and great for the fans.

There will be a full King Power Stadium crowd in attendance on Tuesday and Gray, 21, revealed just how much the squad value the support of the Blue Army.

“We know what the fans are like,” the winger said. “A full house in the cup will be good. Their backing is like an extra player and hopefully we can put on a good performance for them.

“It takes you away from the Premier League. It’s a good tie for us and we want to get as far as possible.

"If we can get to Wembley, it will be great for the team and great for the fans.”
