Albrighton: We Won’t Dwell On This

Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne found the back of the net at King Power Stadium as the Foxes suffered their first defeat since September.
Albrighton credited Pep Guardiola’s men for their clinical performance, but believes the timing of their goals proved to be City’s downfall on Filbert Way.
Speaking to LCFC TV at full-time, Albrighton said: “We know how good they are. They’re second to none in this league. In the first half, we dealt with them well.

“We were organised but I think the goals came at a bad time and probably knocked the stuffing out us a little bit. Once they go 2-0 up, it’s always difficult to get that back when they keep the ball.
“The first goal came just before half-time and if we see it out, in the second half we can have a good go. With their second goal coming from one of our free kicks, it’s tough to take.
“We can’t dwell on this. They’re a good side, but they haven’t embarrassed us or knocked any confidence out of us. We’ll go again next week and look to get a victory.
“It’s going to be a tough couple of weeks but we’re ready for it. When you lose a game, you want to get back out there as soon as possible and luckily, we can do that.”
Albrighton operated in a more central role against the Citizens and while it was an unfamiliar one, the 28-year-old felt he put in a solid shift.
City’s No.11 continued: “Claude Puel told me on Friday that I’ll be playing there and it’s something that I haven’t done before. It’s always nice to try out different positions and get on the ball.
“It’s difficult in there with the quality that they’ve got. Against Man City, it was always going to be difficult. I felt I held my own in the first half.
“I won the ball back a few times and made a few good passes, but the result wasn’t there and that was the main thing.”
