The Foxes have suffered only one defeat – to league leaders Manchester City –  in nine games in all competitions. A win against Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium has seen them move up to 9th in the table.

Albrighton has played a vital part in City’s fine run of form, with a goal at West Ham United and an assist against Spurs coming in the space of five days.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game, Albrighton said: “It is good to be contributing at that end of the field for the team.

“There have been times where I have been left out of the side in recent weeks and it was disappointing on my part so to come back in and have an impact is a confidence boost for me and hopefully I continue to do that moving forward.”

Start Well, Says Albrighton

Winger Marc Albrighton wants Leicester City to get off to a positive start on Saturday against Burnley.

With some minor adjustments, Albrighton is confident that the Foxes can claim another three points from Saturday’s clash with Burnley.

He added: “I think there are a few draws that we would have liked to turn in to victories but it wasn’t to be and I think we need to look forward with that.

“We do the debriefs after the game and look where we can improve and we have looked at the games we have drawn. It is just small details that we need to pick up on to the get the maximum points out of those games.”

The Leicester No. 11 also discussed the attacking prowess of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez in front of goal – both scored stunning strikes against Spurs on Tuesday.

“They are two players that on their day I believe could get in to most sides in this league,” he continued.

“If we can both of them firing on all cylinders having the confidence to beat people to get into the right positions and to put the ball in the back of the net, that is only going to do well for this club.”
