Man V Fat – an FA-endorsed league tailored for the 56 per cent of UK men who are overweight or obese – launches in Leicestershire from Monday 29 January 2017.
Assisted by the LCFC Community Trust, the programme gives men aiming to hit weight loss goals a chance to do so in an enjoyable environment.
Man V Fat combines football with easy-to-follow diet and lifestyle advice, as well as 24/7 online and offline support.
For each session, traditional weigh-ins are followed by a 30-minute game of six-a-side football. Extra goal bonuses are awarded depending on pounds lost, encouraging a real team effort!
Hosted by LCFC Community Trust Coach Matt Bray, Man V Fat Football will take place at County Hall Astro, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA.
Speaking of the programme, Matt said: “I and the whole LCFC Community Trust are really looking forward to helping men realise their fitness objectives. The Trust is constantly exploring partnerships that help make a positive impact on the community, and we believe Man V Fat Football will do just that.”
The first session on Monday 29 January 2017 will be an induction to the course, with the league-proper beginning the week after.
The course runs for 14 weeks every Monday from 6:30pm until 8:30pm and is completely free to attend!
The LCFC Community Trust will be stationed outside King Power Stadium before the Watford game on Saturday 20 January (3pm kick-off) to take on new registrations.
