The left back has been heavily involved for the Foxes this term having played 21 times in all competitions, including 15 times in the Premier League.

Like Andy King, currently on loan at Saturday’s opponents Swansea City until the end of the 2017/18 season, Chilwell is an Academy graduate and the 21-year-old says the Wales midfielder has helped him massively.

“A lot of what I’ve learnt has come from Kingy,” said Chilwell. “He’s great with the younger players. He’s a great professional and he’s someone a lot of the young boys around the training ground look up to.

“They take the things that he does and do the same. It’ll be great addition for Swansea and he’ll be great around the training ground for them and the young players there. On a personal note, he’s been great for me so far in my career.”

Another player who Chilwell continues to learn a great deal from is fellow left back Christian Fuchs, who during his 15-year career has played in Austria, Germany and England, as well as representing his country 78 times at senior level.

He’s a great player and a great pro off the pitch as well. Being behind him for the past few years has been good for my career.

He added: “Obviously, on the mental side of the game, it’s taken me nearly two years to get a run of games. On that side of things, I’ve had to battle to get into the team, training hard every day.

“Seeing a player of that quality in front of you gives you confidence. If you can get games in front of him, you’re doing something right. He’s a great player and a great pro off the pitch as well. Being behind him for the past few years has been good for my career.”
