Since 2012, Leicester have been regular participants in Hong Kong's Causeway Bay district for a tournament which provides Academy graduates with an opportunity to test their skills on a big stage.
Over previous seasons, the Club’s brightest talents have flown out to Asia and experienced a unique and challenging environment which aids their further development.
City Lift Hong Kong Sevens Trophy
Leicester City's Development Squad are presented with the Main Cup at the 2017 HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens.
While City will be more familiar with Brighton, local sides HKFC Red Dragons and Singapore Cricket Club will pose a different type of opposition.
Between 18-20 May of 2018, the Foxes will once again travel to Hong Kong in an attempt to win their third Main Cup title, after lifting the honour in 2013 and 2017.
Upon confirmation of their participation, City Academy Manager Ian Cawley said: "Leicester City Football Club is looking forward to attending this year’s HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens.
"Over previous seasons, the Club has enjoyed magnificent success in Hong Kong, notably winning the Main Cup in 2013 and 2017.
"As such, we are delighted to be returning to Happy Valley this year to defend our crown and to compete against some of the most exciting talent from across the globe.
"Following our success last May, the Development Squad have impressed domestically and the opportunities provided by the HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens are always of an extremely high standard.
"The demands of the tournament, its unique format and the challenges posed all contribute to a thrilling and useful week of competition for our young players."
