Dragović put in a typically dogged performance against Southampton on Thursday night, as the Foxes played out a goalless draw at King Power Stadium.

The Austria international, currently on loan from Bayer Leverkusen until the end of the campaign, believes City were unfortunate not to beat the Saints, who proved difficult to break down.

Speaking to LCFC TV after the full-time whistle, Dragović said: “When we started the game, we wanted to win the game for the supporters.

“After last week, it was important to get the three points back but unfortunately, we only played out a draw – 0-0.

I am happy to enjoy the Premier League and to enjoy this fantastic team because not only on the pitch is there a very good atmosphere, it’s also outside.

“We must keep looking forward and next week against Crystal Palace, we make the three points.

“I think everybody in the stadium saw we were the better team but I must also be honest. We didn’t have the key chances to score.

“We had half chances. In the end, a little bit of luck was not here but I think Southampton played well.”
