Intervention Coach

Following a period of growth, LCFC Community Trust is recruiting for an Intervention Coach to develop and deliver an innovative, high quality educational resource, which joins the science KS2 national curriculum to football and brand of LCFC.

About The Role 

Linked to national programme Premier League Primary Stars, ‘City Science Stars’ uses the appeal of Leicester City Football Club and National Space Centre to inspire primary school aged children to learn about science in an engaging, practical environment.

In partnership with the Primary Science Teaching Trust, our aim is to develop and deliver an educational resource that will inspire pupils in years 5 and 6 across Leicester.

Based at the King Power Stadium the key duties of this role include:

  • Delivering the City Science Stars programme within new and existing partner schools.
  • To develop strong relationships between Leicester City Community Trust and partner schools
  • To plan, deliver and develop high quality targeted interventions to partner primary schools to include City Science Stars and wider classroom based programmes
  • Support the ongoing development of targeted interventions, lesson resources with the Primary Stars Coordinator across PL Primary Stars

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be;

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject area (Science related)
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / QTS / QTLS)
  • Interested in space science and science in general
  • Experienced in working in and liaising with schools
  • Able to form strong and appropriate relationships, demonstrating excellent communication skills

Contract Type – 12 month Fixed Term
Hours Per Week – 37.5 hours
