- The Foxes begin their campaign against Fleetwood Town on Tuesday 11 September
- City then travel to Bury on Tuesday 16 October and face Rochdale on Wednesday 7 November
The Foxes begin their campaign against Fleetwood Town at Highbury Stadium on Tuesday 11 September.
City then travel to Bury’s Gigg Lane on Tuesday 16 October and play their final group stage game at Spotland Stadium against Rochdale on Wednesday 7 November.
The Checkatrade Trophy is a competition for clubs playing in League 1 and League 2 which also features academy teams from 16 Category One clubs.
Last season City reached the last-16 of the competition after finishing runners up in their group and beating Scunthorpe United 2-1 in the second round.
During the group stage, teams will be awarded three points for a win and one point for a draw, but in the event of a draw after 90 minutes, a penalty shootout will be played for an additional bonus point.
As an ‘invited’ club, Leicester City Under-21s will play their three group stage games away from home.
