This is the fourth year in a row that Leicester City has supported the event and the Club once again had a presence at the festival with LCFC activities taking place at Victoria Park.

Leicester City coaches have been helping local LGBT football club, Leicester Wildecats, prepare to play in the Gay Football Supporters’ Network Division 2. The coaches will continue to assist the team with regular training sessions throughout the year.

Graeme Smith, Chair of Leicester City’s LGBT Supporters Group, Foxes Pride, said: “We continue to be proud of the work Leicester City are doing to promote inclusion in football. Their support for Leicester Pride, both at King Power Stadium and Victoria Park is evidence of Leicester City’s commitment to ensuring that equality and diversity is embedded across the Club.”

Leicester Pride is Leicester’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) festival, held at the beginning of September each year. The event began with a parade that passed through the city centre on the way to the festival site at Victoria Park.

Leicester City Football Club is committed to creating a passionate, inclusive and welcoming environment in which everyone is free to enjoy the matchday experience.
