- Puel says it is a choice between Jonny Evans and Çağlar Söyüncü to replace suspended Morgan

The Foxes welcome David Wagner’s Terriers to King Power Stadium on Saturday, but they will be without their captain after he was sent off at AFC Bournemouth last weekend.

Either Evans, who made his debut in a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last month, or Söyüncü, who is back to full fitness after a slight injury, are likely to deputise for Morgan.

“They are in good fitness and I will take a decision,” Puel said on Thursday. “I am happy with the work of both. I think Jonny deserves to play, he is a very experienced player.”

On the topic of making changes, the Frenchman added that he will not make decisions based on last Saturday’s result, stressing that his selection will consist of players best equipped for Huddersfield.

The Foxes boss also provided an update on midfielder Matty James, who has been out with an Achilles injury this season.

He added: “We will see. The most important thing is to prepare this game against this team. It will be difficult to play against this team.

Just Matty James isn’t match fit, but all other players are available. [James] is resting after his surgery and we will see, step-by-step, when he can come back.

“It will be a tough game and we need to be ready to play with a good tempo, patience, but it will be a good challenge to find a solution against this team.

“Just Matty James isn’t match fit, but all other players are available. [James] is resting after his surgery and we will see, step-by-step, when he can come back.

“We need patience because we want him to come back with a smile and not thinking about anything else but football.”
