Puel: Find A Solution

The Terriers come to King Power Stadium having not tasted victory in the Premier League this term, but have earned credible draws away at Everton and at home against newly-promoted Cardiff City with 10 men.
Puel credited Huddersfield’s defiance against the Toffees during their most recent away fixture, and the Frenchman knows his side is likely to come up against another sturdy back line at the weekend.
Puel said: “The most important thing is to prepare the game against this team but I feel they are difficult to play against because they played, for example, against Everton with a strong defensive unit, 5-4-1.
“[It’s] difficult to move this play, to find a solution and find space. It will be a tough game and we need to be ready, to play with a good tempo and with good patience also, without rushing.
“It will be a good challenge against this team and to look at our desire and mind set about this game and to find a solution to score against this team.”
Puel has called for an intelligent approach against David Wagner’s outfit, who are aiming to build on their first ever top-flight campaign in 2017/18.
“It’s always a competitive game, always tough and difficult,” said Puel. "Like us, they need points. If we look at their game against Everton it was interesting.
“[There was] a lot of solidity, they were compact, deep without space, with good counter-attack, set pieces, long throw-ins, all those things.
“To play against this team is to respect them. We cannot say that it will be one point or three points. It’s not possible in the Premier League - it doesn’t exist. We need to be clever about this and be ready for every game.”
