Meanwhile, Kasper Schmeichel helped Denmark to a 2-0 friendly win at home to Austria at the MCH Arena.

City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi also played the full 90 minutes as Nigeria defeated Libya 3-2 to go top of Africa Cup of Nations Group E.

An Odion Ighalo brace and a strike from former Fox Ahmed Musa were enough to secure victory for the Super Eagles, who were without City’s Kelechi Iheanacho, in Tunisia.
