- Manager Claude Puel believes Leicester City have coped well with the difficulties they have face this season
- Their next challenge arrives in the form of a clash with Tottenham Hotspur this Saturday (7:45pm GMT kick-off)
- LCFC Radio will be live on air two hours before kick-off, starting with the Pre-Match Pint
Puel is aware his side have an opportunity to improve on last season’s ninth-place finish, but with several teams working towards the same goal, he knows it will not be a straight-forward task.
Speaking to the media on Friday, he said: “[There is] no difference between teams between six, seven and 16 and 17 in the table. It is close between all the teams and we need to continue our way and play our best every time and we will see.
Claude Puel has seen his side produce a seven-game unbeaten run across October, November and December.
“Of course, we would like to remain in the first part of the table, but after it is so difficult, and games are difficult. The game against Fulham, we played a team in difficulties but in this moment with a good confidence and quality.
“We want to improve and perform. We have had a lot of difficulties with different things this season, sending offs and goals conceded early in the game. We have had to manage difficulties, but we are in a good position.”
Leicester stretched their unbeaten run to seven games on Wednesday with a 1-1 draw at Fulham, and while Puel has been pleased with his outfit’s progress, there is room for improvement over the festive period.
We are strong in our attitude and in our comebacks in games. That is a good feeling for the team, but we of course need to improve to find a clinical edge and good consistency in our game.Claude Puel
“We need to improve step by step to correct some situations,” added the manager. “We have a young team with young players and they need to continue to improve. We give our best with our mentality and positive attitude all the time.

“Sometimes it’s up and down. We will see where we can finish in the Premier League. We have a young team with interesting play and they want to improve. They have ambition and we will continue to develop the team, and of course to try to have the right result.”
