Leicester City Football Club is supporting Counter Terrorism Policing’s Christmas Vigilance Campaign, by urging supporters to remain alert over the festive period.

As the Club heads into a busy run of fixtures, Foxes fans are reminded to report anything suspicious they see in or around King Power Stadium to police, security, or matchday staff.
While there is no known increased threat to a specific event or venue, the threat level for the UK remains at Severe and this campaign aims to provide a ‘whole society’ approach, to help minimise the chance of terror attacks and mitigate the impact they can have.
In addition to the above, supporters may see security messaging appearing on advertising boards and digital screens around crowded events, reminding them about the crucial role they play in the fight against terrorism.
Launching the campaign, Chief Superintendent Nick Aldworth, said: “As people are enjoying the festive season, they will see a visible security presence with police patrols and additional security in crowded places.
“Unpredictable deployments across the UK will also provide an additional layer of protection, with specially-trained uniformed and plain clothes officers working to deter, detect and disrupt hostile reconnaissance.
"We also encourage the public and businesses to be our extra eyes and ears and report anything that doesn’t feel right.”
