“Sometimes I go over the top when they’ve not played well and probably sometimes I do when they have played well, but tonight… it was a stunning performance.

“They were excellent, every one of them, I’m really proud of them. We talked about one of the key objectives before the game and I asked ‘can we keep a clean sheet?’

“We said how important the start is. They had an experienced side out, it’s the strongest side they’ve put out against us since I’ve been involved.

Enjoy all three goals from the Development Squad's 3-0 victory at Swansea City in Premier League 2.

“I think six players played with league experience, Championship experience, and I think one player has played in the Premier League so they were a strong side with three overage players.

“We said – certainly in the first 15 minutes - we’ve got to make sure that we manage the game right and we keep a clean sheet in those first 15 minutes.

“We were very, very comfortable in the first half, I can’t remember Viktor [Johansson] having a save to make and we were absolutely camping in their half, it was a great attacking display.”
