Three spots lie between City, in eighth, and 11th-placed Wolves in the Premier League standings, but Nuno Espírito Santo’s men could overtake their visitors with a victory at Molineux Stadium.

Following an impressive 3-1 success at Tottenham Hotspur, Wolves have suffered successive defeats by Crystal Palace and Manchester City, but Puel is nonetheless alert to the dangers they could pose.

“I think this season they have formed a good consistency in their play, a good style of play, with technical players and they are comfortable with the ball,” he said on Thursday.

“They have a good structure, they play with three or five defenders, but they like to play.

Puel Looks Ahead To Wolves Challenge

Foxes boss Claude Puel talks to the press ahead of Saturday's trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.

“They like to open the play, to switch the play and I think it’s a good team with quality and they try to keep all the time the same style of play, with sometimes a good reward.

“We’ve played them twice, we’ve had some difficulties to prevent them, to open the play, to take them wide.

“They have good habits in their style and it will be a tough game against a dangerous team, but I appreciate their work and their manager.”

Puel is confident that his Foxes side have enough quality to return to the East Midlands with three points, so long as they perform to the best of their abilities.

“I think we have a team with a lot of character, personality, so when we are in danger, when we are in a bad situation, we have the strength to have a good reaction,” he added.

“We know we have a young team, but we have around them as well some experienced players.

“I think we have to correct this [last weekend’s defeat by Southampton], because it’s a shame we showed a different performance, but we showed a lot of quality also.

“I think the most important thing is to find this good consistency all the time and I think this is for young players, experienced players, all together.”
