Confident Mendy Ready To Face Leaders Liverpool
- Liverpool possess some ‘amazing’ players, says Leicester City’s Papy Mendy

Jürgen Klopp’s men currently sit four points clear at the top-flight summit - with a game in hand - heading into the fixture, while a win for the Foxes could see them close the gap on seventh-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Intent on recording another excellent result against a talented outfit following wins over Chelsea, Manchester City and Everton, Mendy says he has belief in his fellow Foxes as they attempt to inflict only a second Premier League defeat of the season upon the Reds.
Mendy said of Wednesday’s opponents: “They are one of the best teams in the league. They have amazing players in Liverpool and we have a good quality in our squad. I am confident in my team-mates.
Mendy: We Have To Stay Concentrated
Foxes midfielder Papy Mendy previews Wednesday's Premier League game against Liverpool at Anfield.
“We love playing against these teams because when we are playing against a big team, it is a good challenge against good players on the pitch.
“But the league is not always playing against a top-of-the-table team. Sometimes you play against a normal team and we have to get a result as well.
“In any game we have to get a result and give our best, it doesn’t matter the team.”
Mendy believes finishing seventh in the table is an achievable target for Claude Puel’s outfit, who have triumphed in two of their last three Premier League outings on the road.
“It is a good challenge,” added the midfielder. “We are close to seventh place and I think it is possibility because we have big quality in the squad.
“I am confident and we are working with this. I think we can be seventh [in the table].”
