Following a period of growth, Leicester City Football Club Community Trust is recruiting a Lead Youth Worker.

About The Role

The aim of the role is to develop and deliver a host of activities within youth and community sports settings, to deliver ‘Youth Power’ and Premier League ‘Our Children, Our City’ funded partnership programmes. The post holder will be responsible for the overall management of the designated youth provision, and will lead a small staff team to provide high quality provision.

Based at Leicester City Football Club King Power Stadium the key duties of this role include developing partnerships and working with a range of agencies and community groups to enhance the youth work at the centre or project. Engaging, inspiring and empowering young people who are often deemed ‘hard to reach’. Contributing to quality assurance aspects of ‘Youth Power’ and ‘Our City, Our Children’.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be JNC qualified, they will have a proven track record of planning and delivering high quality interventions or activities with knowledge of the ‘Youth Work Curriculum Framework’. They will have the ability to work on their own initiative with the ability to remain calm, de-escalate conflict and manage challenging behaviour. They will be committed, self-motivated and driven and will be an excellent engager.
