Frontman Vardy took his tally to 13 for the season after four goals in four appearances saw the Foxes hit a purple patch in the Premier League.
While on target during the defeat by Watford at the start of the month, a game later, Vardy scored a brace against Fulham – his second taking him to 100 goals for the Football Club – to help Brendan Rodgers to a first home win as City manager.
A 2-1 triumph over Burnley was then followed by another Vardy goal – a sweet header against AFC Bournemouth to add to Wes Morgan’s opener and round off a fine month for the No.9.
Vardy faces competition from five other Premier League stars for the accolade. The full shortlist is as follows:
Seamus Coleman – Everton
Sadio Mané – Liverpool
Andrew Robertson – Liverpool
Bernardo Silva – Manchester City
Jamie Vardy – Leicester City
James Ward-Prowse – Southampton
Voting begins at 12pm BST on Friday 5 April and ends at 6pm BST on Monday 8 April.
