Leicester City are playing with a perfect blend of intensity and structure under the management of Brendan Rodgers, says in-form midfielder James Maddison.

- James Maddison was delighted following Leicester City's 4-1 win at Huddersfield Town
- The 22-year-old scored a stunning free-kick at John Smith's Stadium
- City are now up to seventh in the Premier League on the back of four successive wins
- Maddison also provided insight into his technique from set-plays

The 22-year-old scored his second free-kick in as a many away games as the Foxes sealed an impressive 4-1 victory over Huddersfield Town at John Smith's Stadium.

Youri Tielemans also netted a long-range curler, while Jamie Vardy registered a brace in west Yorkshire, as Rodgers' men booked a fourth consecutive Premier League success.

Speaking to LCFC TV at full-time, Maddison spoke of his enjoyment to be playing for the Club at present and the excitement everyone feels to try and continue their excellent run of form.

"It was brilliant and really enjoyable to play in that one," the England Under-21s international said.

"We came away with a thoroughly deserved victory and that’s four on the bounce now so we’re playing with a real freedom at the minute and long may that continue!

"We all love football, we all enjoy playing football, and you want to go out there with a smile on your face, but you want to get the balance right with the hard work and the intensity.

"I think we’ve got that perfectly at the minute and that’s credit to the gaffer and credit to the coaching staff and credit to the work we’re putting in on the training pitch.

Practice makes permanent. Nobody’s ever going to be perfect but the more work you put in, the more results you’re going to get, the better results you’re going to get.

"The team were brilliant today, right from Kasper [Schmeichel] all the way through to Vards [Vardy].

"We’ve got a real intensity within our structure, which is a really good balance, and the team worked their socks off today so it’s credit to them.

"Credit to the boys in there today, they were fantastic and that one’s for the travelling supporters, who were brilliant today, so they can go home happy."

Asked which of his free-kicks, at Burnley and Huddersfield, was the better strike, Maddison added: "I’ll have to let you decide that!

"Both were different, one of them was ’keeper’s side and one was over the wall.

"Listen, I always practice them on the training pitch and hopefully, with the work that I’m putting in on the training pitch, we can keep getting results on the pitch.

"Practice makes permanent. Nobody’s ever going to be perfect but the more work you put in, the more results you’re going to get, the better results you’re going to get.

"It’s something I’ve always prided myself on, set-pieces, and, yes, I’ll keep doing that."
