Leicester City will turn attentions to European opposition in the countdown to the new Premier League season, as Italian side Atalanta prepare to visit King Power Stadium this August.

- Leicester City to play Atalanta in pre-season friendly
- Foxes to host Serie A side on Friday 2 August (7:30pm BST kick-off)
- Fixture to be the Club’s only pre-season game at King Power Stadium

The game will take place on Friday 2 August (7:30pm BST kick-off) – just eight days before the start of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign – and will be City’s only home fixture this pre-season.

As City prepare to begin their quest to return to the European stage under Brendan Rodgers, Atalanta will be heading for their first-ever campaign in the UEFA Champions League after ending the 2018/19 Serie A season in an impressive third position, behind Juventus and Napoli.

Their visit to Filbert Way will be City’s only fixture at King Power Stadium during pre-season, with away trips to Scunthorpe United (Tuesday 16 July, 7:30pm BST kick-off), Cheltenham Town (Saturday 20 July, 3pm BST kick-off), Cambridge United (Tuesday 23 July, 7:30pm BST kick-off) Stoke City (Saturday 27 July, 3pm BST kick-off) and Rotherham United (Saturday 27 July, 3pm BST kick-off) already confirmed.

Ticket details and selling arrangements for the Atalanta fixture will be confirmed in due course.
