Leicester City’s first full day in south-east France saw them complete two training sessions, as preparations for the new campaign stepped up a level.

- Leicester City train for the first time in Évian-les-Bains
- The Foxes’ maiden day saw them take part in sessions either side of lunch
- Defender Jonny Evans spoke to LCFC TV after his first day back at the Club

After touching down in Geneva on Sunday evening, the Club’s playing squad and staff made the short trip to Évian-les-Bains, and headed out for a brief walk and stretch before sitting down together for dinner.

The following morning, greeted by temperatures in the mid-20s and beaming sunshine, City’s stars completed 90 minutes of hard work in the French Alps.

Ricardo Pereira stretches before taking part in the first of Monday's two training sessions.

After a break for lunch and some time for a rest, the Foxes assembled for a second time in the late afternoon, returning to their nearby training base for another testing session.

Discussing his first day back, Jonny Evans said: “It’s good to be back. I had my first session this morning. There’s obviously quite a few of us who had the international games during the start of June, so we had a bit of a longer break.

Ayoze Pérez was one of two new additions to the Leicester City squad to train in France, alongside James Justin.

"We’re kind of playing a bit of catch up on the boys, but it was great to get back in and hopefully this week can give us that baseline fitness that we need."

Brendan Rodgers’ men will train again on Tuesday – and there will be further updates from Évian here on LCFC.com and the Club’s social media channels.
