- Brendan Rodgers has enjoyed the experience of working with City's youngster players
- A group from the Club's Development Squad joined the group in France last week
- Rodgers has also been impressed by new signings James Justin and Ayoze Pérez

The Foxes manager has taken a closer look at members of the Development Squad during the six-day stay on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Alongside several senior players and new summer signings, the contingent have participated in training sessions under the watchful eyes of Rodgers and his backroom team.

City's youngsters have blended in with the group effortlessly and Rodgers has enjoyed taking the opportunity to assess their qualities during the training camp.

"I think that’s a great credit to the players that are in the first team," the Northern Irishman told LCFC TV. "It’s very inclusive, the squad.

"They’re big names in terms of profile, the guys in the first team, but at the end of it, they’re just human beings and they accept the young guys in.

"They know what it’s like for those young players coming into squads and how difficult it can be, but they’ve helped that process, along with the staff.

"That has allowed the young players to come out here and give their best, so they’ve integrated very well.

"It’s been good, alongside looking at some of the younger players. I’ve been very pleased with them. Like I say, the younger players have coped very well."

JJ and Ayoze look as if they’ve been a part of this here for a lot longer than what they have. That’s because they fit the profile that they want to have here in the squad.

While Rodgers was already familiar with Youri Tielemans, the stay in France has also been a chance for Leicester's squad to become acquainted with James Justin and Ayoze Pérez.

The duo joined the Foxes before departing the country last weekend and have settled in quickly with the squad as the 2019/20 season approaches fast.

"They’ve come away and coped very, very well," Rodgers added. "JJ and Ayoze look as if they’ve been a part of this here for a lot longer than what they have.

"That’s because they fit the profile that they want to have here in the squad. They’re both very talented players and are very hungry.

"JJ is a really good defender for a young guy. He knows his position very well. He’s got real good athleticism and he’s understanding over this pre-season how we play.

"Ayoze’s got more experience, more experience in the Premier League, and he’s a goal threat.

"You can see his cleverness, his brightness and his link-up play just in this very short period of time. It’s been great to see those two join the group."
