Iversen, a Denmark youth international, played 90 minutes for Rotherham during the 2-2 pre-season draw with Leicester City last month, and was handed a competitive debut for the South Yorkshire outfit over the weekend.

In front of over 4,500 fans at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, Freddie Ladapo scored the first goal of Rotherham’s 2019/20 Sky Bet League 1 campaign, only for Joe Pigott to level for the hosts early on in the second period.

But Clark Robertson rewarded the 785 travelling Rotherham supporters with all three points by netting an 84th-minute winner for Paul Warne’s men, who sit sixth after gameweek one.

Development Squad striker Ryan Loft, meanwhile, came off the bench as Carlisle United won 2-1 at Brunton Park.

Goals from Harry McKirdy and Stefan Scougall secured a victory for Carlisle, with Loft replacing Olufela Olomola just after the hour mark.

Finally, defender Josh Knight did not feature for Peterborough United during their 3-1 home defeat by Fleetwood Town in League 1.
