Leicester City No.9 Jamie Vardy insists he will not change the way he approaches Saturday’s Premier League showdown with Tottenham Hotspur.

Vardy is City’s all-time top goalscorer, with 83 strikes in 181 appearances since making his top-flight debut against Arsenal in 2014.

This weekend, City face north London side Spurs at King Power Stadium, and Vardy spoke of the need to show aggression against Saturday’s opponents.

“I won’t approach it any different to how I would any game,” he said. “I’ll always be making sure that I give 100 per cent.

Jamie Vardy scored twice and set up another goal during his most recent outing at King Power Stadium.

“I have to be aggressive, trying to upset the defenders and hopefully I’ll win the ball back as high as possible so that we’re straight onto the attack.”

The 32-year-old has scored three goals in five league appearances this term, but knows points on the board are more important than his exploits in front of goal.

“It’s looking alright, but it means nothing going into a new game,” said Vardy of his strike rate this term.

I know what my strengths are, and I’ll be making sure that I’ll use them to the best of my ability.

“I’ll be prepared for it right, and hopefully, it’ll help us get the three points.
