The North East club approached Sunday's clash having tasted victory in successive visits to King Power Stadium, but they were greeted by a relentless Foxes outfit this time around.
A Ricardo Pereira stunner, Jamie Vardy brace, Paul Dummett own goal and a late finish from Ndidi sealed a five-star success for Brendan Rodgers' side and propelled them to third in the Premier League.
Reflecting on the Club's biggest-ever Premier League victory, the Nigeria international discussed the impact Rodgers has had on City's ability to counteract teams who play with a low defensive block.
"We know [since] last season, you can see we have really improved against a low-block team," a jubilant Ndidi, 22, told LCFC TV at full-time on Filbert Way.
"Last season, they were really good, playing a low block so we couldn’t find a rhythm, but this season, the coach has really upped us so that shows the [quality] in the team.
"Of course, it is not always easy to stay focused in the game because against 10 men (after Isaac Hayden's 43rd-minute red card), you feel relaxed sometimes.
"It was a great performance from the team because everyone was focused and we tried to move the ball very fast and with pace."
Ndidi was thrilled to register his eighth goal for the Club in all competitions, but was also keen to stress the importance of the team ethic on display in Sunday's win.
"Yes, it was a good goal!" he added. "I’m happy with the goal. Maybe the Golden Boot’s coming!
"It’s a team game, so it’s not [about] if you play attack, defence or midfield… we are just like a team, so we try to help each other, that’s it.
"I’m happy with the way the team is going. I am happy with the way the lads are playing and where we are now, so we just keep going and we try to make things.
"It can’t be perfect, but we try to get there. Of course, game by game, every game we take as it is so we want to give everything in every game and we think the fans will also enjoy it."
