Praet made his second-straight Premier League start for the Foxes, who fell a goal behind just before the interval following a strike from Sadio Mané.
City recovered well after the break and hauled themselves level with 10 minutes to play thanks to James Maddison’s second goal of the Premier League campaign.
However, a late penalty, which was confirmed by VAR, was converted by Reds captain James Milner, handing Liverpool all three points on Merseyside.
“We’re a little bit sad,” reflected Praet. “I think if you concede a goal in the 95th minute, it’s not good and I think we played a good game.
“If you can play a good game here at Anfield against a big team like Liverpool, that’s very good, but at the end, we have no points and that’s what counts.
“We wanted to come and get something here. I think we did that well, but the game is decided in the 95th minute and in the end, we conceded a goal.”
