Çağlar Söyüncü scored his first Leicester City goal and Jamie Vardy took his 2019/20 Premier League tally to 10 for the season during a hard-earned 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
A goalless first period saw Vardy go closest for the Foxes, as he nearly rounded off a fine move that involved Harvey Barnes and James Maddison, but couldn’t beat Vicente Guaita at the near post.
After the interval, City found their clinical edge and it was Söyüncü who headed in Maddison’s corner on 57 minutes before a well-worked second arrived through Vardy with two minutes to play.
The victory saw Leicester move back into third in the table, having accumulated 23 points from 11 games – their best-ever start to a Premier League campaign.

After 76 goalless minutes, it was Wales international George Thomas who finally broke the deadlock, converting substitute Eppiah’s cross to put his side in front.
The Belgian attacker then set up striker George Hirst, whose close-range finish sealed the three Premier League 2 points in the fourth minute of injury time.
