The Foxes have already secured their spot in the next round of the competition thanks to 2-1 victories at Sunderland and Grimsby Town, as well as a shootout triumph over Scunthorpe United in their Group A opener.
City are one of 32 sides to contest the second round of the Leasing.com Trophy, and the draw will take place live on Sky Sports this weekend.
As winners of Group A, the Development Squad are guaranteed a home tie, and will face the runners-up of a group from the same region, but not the same group that they have already competed in in the first round.
