- As usual, they selected several key talking points concerning the Foxes

Speaking over the course of one hour on LCFC Radio's Extra-Time show, broadcast every Monday after a weekend fixture, the trio analysed City's 1-1 draw with Norwich City on Saturday.

As well as pointing to the bigger picture of Leicester's position in the Premier League and the impressiveness of Norwich's display, the panel also looked ahead to a big few weeks for the Foxes.

Norwich impress on Filbert Way

Daniel Farke's visitors initially took the lead before withstanding pressure from the Foxes to seal a point.

Arlo White said: “It was frustrating, but if you look at the bigger picture, 25 points out of 27 in the Premier League, that’s not too shabby is it? I saw Norwich City at the start of the season in probably the best game of the season, when they beat Manchester City, and I thought they could do something this year. It’s been a struggle for them, but in players like Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantwell, they have a threat. They were lively on break, solid in defensive, and I thought they played particularly well.”

Leicester still dominated

Belgium stars Dennis Praet and Youri Tielemans embrace ahead of kick-off.

Matt Elliott said: “Norwich came and surprised a few people. Leicester will be prepared for any Premier League team, but they were resolute defensively. We were waiting for cracks to appear and they didn’t, other than the defensive weakness which led to Leicester’s goal. Generally, a lot of credit needs to go to the visitors in this instance. Leicester weren’t at their best, Norwich were near to their best, and Leicester still dominated all the stats. Leicester always had a slight upper hand, but Norwich had enough to stop them.”

A wonderful run of form

The Foxes showed courage and patience to come back from a goal behind.

Tony Cottee said: “You’ve got to look at the perspective. If you’d have said to the Leicester fans that 17 games into the season, they’d been second in the Premier League, 13 points clear in terms of the Champions League spaces, you’ve got the top goalscorer in the Premier League… you know, it’s been a wonderful run for the Football Club. It’s just important everyone keeps their feet on the floor. They didn’t lose and sometimes, as Brendan [Rodgers] said, you take the point in these situations and move on.”

The bigger picture

Brendan Rodgers' side remain second in the Premier League standings.

Arlo White said: “As a fan, you start getting excited, and that’s part of being a fan. Getting carried away is what it’s all about. As Tony said earlier, City are in those Champions League places and, if they are able to stay there, it would be a remarkable achievement. To go again and to break that monopoly of the bigger clubs would be a magnificent achievement for Leicester City. If you keep your eyes on the bigger picture, things are going pretty well.”

A genuine chance

Leicester were initially behind at King Power Stadium, before hitting back before the break.

Matt Elliott said: “Brendan’s mantra will be all about the next game, doing the best they can and then seeing where it takes them. That’s the message he puts across. Without doubt, the position they’re in now is encouraging. We know anything in football is possible, so they’ve got to keep their eye on the job, but at the start of the season, it was a possibility for Leicester to challenge in these areas of the table. Remember how good they’ve looked this season too. Leicester have a genuine chance of qualifying for Europe.”

Keep going now

Jamie Vardy initially believed he had scored his 17th goal of the season, before it was awarded as an own goal.

Tony Cottee said: “I think some managers break the season down into quarters. You look at the first 10 games, then the next 10 games, and if you look at that return of 25 points from 27, it’s incredible. If Leicester can get results from their coming games, the points gap at the top will be lower, but Manchester City and Liverpool are top, top sides. It’s been a wonderful run of form, but it’s important that the players keep going at the training ground and go again at the weekend.”
