Justin, 21, moved from boyhood side Luton Town in the summer and made his fifth appearance of 2019/20 on Saturday in the 2-1 victory at West Ham United.

The England youth international is yet to taste defeat in Leicester colours and explained in an exclusive interview why he must ensure he is always prepared to play when called upon prior to Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie with Wigan Athletic.

“The first couple of months were tough, to be fair,” Justin told CITY Matchday Magazine. “It’s not just a case of going up a couple of levels.

The right-back played from start to finish at London Stadium last weekend.

“It’s a case of going up a couple of levels and then some, because we’re not a Premier League team that’s in mid-table. We’re a top side.

“It’s been tough, but it’s more the mental side of the game. Physically, I’m ready and technically I’m there. It’s a case of ensuring I stay one or two steps ahead in games.”

Justin believes that while the Foxes have been excellent so far this season, they will remain focused ahead of a string of important games.

The games against Manchester City and Liverpool showed the class that they’re able to call upon and shows that we need to be on it in big games.

He added: “It’s been an unbelievable season so far. We’re doing so well to be in the position we are, but we’re not getting ahead of ourselves.

“The games against Manchester City and Liverpool showed the class that they’re able to call upon and shows that we need to be on it in big games.

“It’s been great watching the team and when we’re on it, we’re brilliant. I think both games against Newcastle and the game against Southampton have been our best so far this season.”

Supporters can pick up their copy of CITY Matchday Magazine for just £3 on Saturday from programme vendors outside King Power Stadium and the Foxes Fanstore.
