Leicester City Academy are seeking an outstanding individual to take up a brand new role. The Head of Player Care and Personal Development will take our work on personal development of young people in and through football to the next level.

About the company

Leicester City Football Club, also known as the Foxes, is a top-flight English football club, in their sixth consecutive season in the Premier League. In 2015/16, ranked as 5000-1 outsiders, Leicester City were crowned Premier League champions.

In 2010, the Club was bought by Asian Football Investments, a Thai-led consortium fronted by King Power’s founder and Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. The stadium was named King Power Stadium in 2011 and one year later in 2012, King Power International became sole owners of the Club.

About the role

Leicester City Academy are seeking an outstanding individual to take up a brand new role. The Head of Player Care and Personal Development will take our work on personal development of young people in and through football to the next level. You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive programme covering off-field topics as diverse as mental health, to life skills to relationships ensuring that our players are ready for life in and beyond football.

With three academy graduates in the current First Team squad and a new training ground with exceptional facilities only a short time away there has never been a more exciting time to join Leicester City Academy. 

Who we’re looking for 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working with elite young athletes, with the ability to understand the emotional and well-being challenges this may bring. You will have experience in developing and implementing programmes, be an excellent communicator with the ability to build trusted working relationships.
