Claudio Ranieri's Leicester continued an unbeaten start to their 2015/16 title-winning campaign with a stirring two-goal comeback to emerge as victors over Aston Villa on Saturday 13 September, 2015.
City went into the fixture on the back of consecutive wins - over Sunderland and West Ham United - and two draws in a row - against Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth.
However, their unbeaten record was at considerable risk against Tim Sherwood's men, when Jack Grealish and then Carles Gil both netted stunning long-range efforts on Filbert Way.
With 18 minutes to play, though, the Foxes began the fightback, when Ritchie De Laet flicked Riyad Mahrez's corner past Brad Guzan, although goal-line technology was required to confirm the goal.
The Blue Army sensed a comeback was on the cards and the scores were level on 82 minutes as Jamie Vardy prodded Danny Drinkwater's low cross in, speaking jubilant celebrations.
Just as it seemed both sides would have to settle for a point neither actually wanted from the clash, Mahrez's forward ball was bravely headed home by Nathan Dyer, on loan from Swansea City.
The jubilance around King Power Stadium muted slightly as Dyer received medical attention following his clash with Guzan, but the winger soon rose to his feet to take in the acclaim of the home fans.
"It was a fantastic second half," claimed Ranieri at full-time. "We know they played better early on but after 2-0 we started to play with our spirit and it was a very fantastic match."
