- Ünder also scored for Turkey as the Crescent-Stars defeated Russia 3-2
- Kasper Schmeichel (Denmark) and Danny Ward (Wales) were also in action on Sunday

Tielemans, 23, registered his third goal for his country in a 2-0 UEFA Nations League success over England at OH Leuven's King Power at Den Dreef Stadium - the 100th international goal scored by an LCFC player.

On his 33rd outing for Belgium, City's No.8 collected the ball from Romelu Lukaku in the 10th minute, before riffling home a powerful effort in off the post from outside the area.

A classy free-kick from Dries Mertens helped Roberto Martínez's men to a 2-0 victory over the Three Lions, leaving them two points clear at the top of League A Group 2 with one game to play.

Dennis Praet, on the other hand, was an 83rd-minute substitute for Belgium, who welcome Denmark to Den Dreef on Wednesday (7:45pm kick-off) in their concluding Nations League group stage outing.

Earlier in the day, Ünder also netted for Turkey - for the eighth time - as the Crescent-Stars came from behind to beat Russia 3-2 at Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadyumu in League B Group 3.

The Foxes midfielder celebrates his opener against England with Kevin de Bruyne.

Following Denis Cheryshev's opener for the visitors, Kenan Karaman hit back for Turkey, before a stylish curled effort from Ünder in the 32nd minute flipped the match on its head.

Cenk Tosun got Turkey's third in the second half, before a Daler Kuzyaev effort soon after, but the hosts were able to hold out for a win which leaves them third in the group standings.

Wednesday's trip to Puskás Aréna, in Budapest, presents Şenol Güneş's side with an opportunity to overturn a two-point deficit to second place (7:45pm kick-off).

Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, meanwhile, also starred for Denmark for the 59th time as they secured a slender 2-1 triumph over Iceland at Parken in Copenhagen.

After Christian Eriksen's first of two penalties put the Danes on course for a victory which saw them leapfrog England in League A Group 2, Schmeichel was substituted at the interval.

Ünder was once again impressive for Turkey on Sunday evening.

Fellow shot-stopper Danny Ward was also in action for Wales as the 27-year-old marked his ninth senior international outing with a cleansheet during a 1-0 success over Republic of Ireland.

David Brooks' 67th-minute header was the difference in Cardiff before Jeff Hendrick saw red in the latter moments as Wales climbed to the summit of League B Group 4 with one game to play.

They tackle second-placed Finland, also at Cardiff City Stadium, on Wednesday in a match which is destined to settle the one promotion berth from the group into League A (7:45pm kick-off).

Finally on Sunday, Jonny Evans was an unused substitute as Northern Ireland suffered a 2-1 loss to League B Group 1 rivals Austria at Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna. Ian Baraclough's side sit fourth ahead of facing third-placed Romania at Windsor Park on Wednesday (7:45pm kick-off).

On Friday, Kelechi Iheanacho's Nigeria played out a 4-4 draw with Sierra Leone in ACFON qualifying at Ogbe Stadium, while James Justin did not feature as England Under-21s beat Andorra 3-1 at Molineux.
